Move over Oscar!!

We're doing some remodeling/redecorating in my house and I thought I would share some of my spruce ups with you!! Here is my first one....
I wanted a metal garbage can but I wanted it to match, so I bought a silver one, some spray paint and some spray spray gloss, for a shiny finish!!! I love how it turned out and it matches my kitchen perfectly!!!! Never be afraid to DIY!!! :)

Slouchy hat!!!

I've recently started knitting, with the help, and much patience of my dear, sweet friend!!! I've wanted to learn all my life, but I was never able to learn until she started teaching me!! Here is the hat I just finished today, it's a slouchy hat with a flower closure!! Here is the pattern I used!!

My daughter sporting her new hat!! :)
My goal is to get good enough that I can knit several hats a week and take them to the local children's cancer clinic, for the kids! :)

Feeling the scraps!!

I'm working on thinning out my scrap box, so that means more random cards!! Here's a few I came up with tonight!!
I honestly have no idea where any of the paper or ribbon came from, as they were in my scrap bins. I do know the stamp on the card on the right is from a retired Stampin' Up Set, stamped in Perfectly Plum!!
I just love making cards out of scrap!!! Happy Scrapping!!

Show me your scraps!!

If you're like me you have a huge scrap bin!! Little bits of paper that you hold on to, just in case!!! Well, sometimes I pull out my scrap bin to see what I can come up with!!! Here are my latest creations!!
I started with Whisper White Card Stock by Stampin'Up
Then I took out my Stampin' Up circle punches. I punched till I was happy with the way it looked! Next, I took my scraps and lined the back of the card, so that the bits showed through my punches!! I finished it off with a salutation stamp!! Super simple and very effective!!

Feeling a little corky!

I'm a huge fan of up-cycle!!! I love to refurbish things!! I seen all these cork projects on Pinterest and they peeked my interest!! I decided to beg all my friends for corks, since I don't drink wine! Thankfully, my friends were up to the challenge!!! So, here is what I came up with....

I bought an unfinished tray at Michaels for only $3 and I spray painted it red. Then I just hot glued the corks in!! I'm using it for a hot pad in my kitchen!! So simple!!! I love it!!!

The tomato is Real real made with the 1 3/8 Circle Punch. The Hamburger is Early Espresso made with the 1 3/8 Circle punch. The lettuce is Garden Green made with the Scallop Punch.

Here is my first card
For this card I used the All Dressed Up Framelets out of the Spring Mini.
Card Stock used; Whisper White, Basic Black & Polka Dot Parade
The card is Whisper White. I cut a Basic Black square a tad smaller than the card. I used the Framelet dress stand on an additional Whisper white square, a tad smaller than the Basic Black square. I layered them all, then added the Framelet Dress in Polka Dot Parade. Added 3 silver brads and stamped a sweet sentiment on the inside! Easy peasy!!!
